We will rock you

Gummi was so perfect yesterday. We WILL bring back at least one ribbon(or not) but this horse show is going to be perfect. I love jumping on Gummi because he feels when we are both ready to jump. Last year when I was very inexperienced I had some trouble with Gummi because he "felt" that I was unsteady on his back. What he didn't realize was that the only way I was going to get stronger on him was to canter him which was the exact thing he didn't want to do. You can see my problem.

But now a year later, Gummi and I are rocking the arena. We are a team. I was talking to my baby sitter and she said that she liked team sports. But horse back is a team sport. You and your horse have to communicate in your own way, like how Gummi and I feel each other. I can tell when he is nervous, mad and even scared. I know every inch of his mind and he knows mine.
